Hello,

Since when did shimano mechs nataurally return to easiest gear???? Ie to the top of the cassette not the bottom?

I bought a new mech and wilst i got it work it now means my shifters work backwards? When did some prannock decide to do this? Also Why wasnt I told about it on the net when I bought the bloody thing!!!!

Grrrrr fume!

You bought a rapid rise (low normal) mech

There's nothing normal about rapid rise! It's a pain in the ass and I'm not sure it even works in extreme conditions. You loose the ability to coax the gears up the cassette with a little extra push.

Works fine in crap conditions. The spring pushes it up just enough. Very slick. However, imo, they only make sense with flippy shifters. When I go back to rapids fire I don't think I'll have RR mechs.

I think you're right about that. DO you like the flappy paddle shifters?
