I have been giving it full beans on my road bike recently and as such rinsing my Flare rear light. I love it don't get me wrong it I'm not keen to spend another £45 on a rear light for backup purposes.
I did bag some moody Moon copies from the Planet X a while back but durability is an issue...
So let's say 25ish earth pounds for a back light.
What would you pick?
Actual Moon Nebula? £22.50 currently at Scotby Cycles
I've got a Halford's one that does the job. Just had a quick look and it's this one that just so happens to be £25 - https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-accessories/bike-lights/halfords-advanced-100-lumen-rear-laser-light-253326.html
If Aldi have any of their fake Moon lights in alongside the bike stands....
Anything but Lezyne!
Giant Recon gives 6hrs on super bright flash.

£27 here: https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/giant_recon_tl_200_rear_light-ID_78428
I have one on each bike now.
Anything but Lezyne!
Or the ~£30 Cateye front and rear set. Bought in emergency for commute home when front light had failed. Needed lights which i could use immediately without charging. I broke the catch for the front mount release thinking it was a security thing holding it to the packaging. It was dark so couldnt see what i was doing. Exchanged. Just absolute plastic tat, barely worth about £9.990 not £30.
Was gonna recommend the nebula at £45, at £22.50 I’ve ordered 2 myself!
I've had many cheap rear lights... The moon nebula is now my main rear light and is by far the nicest/well made/most robust.
Decent price at Merlin too
I actually chased someone down for a mile or so through the mud in the Chilterns a couple of years ago because I needed to catch him to find out what his rear light was.
He had it mounted to his helmet and it was so visible without being offensive I had to know what it was.
After half killing myself trying to catch him, it was a Nebula.
The same as the Nebula I had on the back of my bike at the time.
Alpkit tau, £15
Moon Shield X 👍
