On the 2nd Oxford light now , both with the same issue . The contacts are slightly too far apart for the batteries to be a good fit . When you take the lens off the batteries fall out ! Tried tweaking the contacts I've seen some people have used silver foil but I want a permanent solution .The shop is going to have them back so looking for an alternative make for about a tenner ? Millions of choices to fit on seatposts but the only other rack mounted one I can find is made by Smart . Wonder if that is any good ?

Cateye do a bracket that bolts to the rack mounts, I think rsp use the same clips. Personally tho id go for a B&M topline, I have the dynamo version and its really good for visibility without blinding drivers so the cant actually tell where you are.

There is a battery version.

Good review of the light here (dynamo version).

+1 for the RSP Tourlite.
Yes, it bolts onto the rack - so long as your rack has the standard plate on the back, with holes 50mm or 80mm apart. It is fairly bright, with a nice wide reflector, I think that makes a big difference for getting noticed.

radbot comes with rack mounts in the pack - 1000 version is good for daylight

Something like this? My rack doesn't have the plate so I bolted a pair of P-clips on to the light that loop over the rearmost rack tube

I had a very positive comment on the RSP Tourlite, saying they could see it miles away

Batteries seem to last ages in it, although I have 4 back lights just in case! (1 helmet, 2 on the bike, 1 on my rack pack)

Takes 2 AA batteries. It's apparently very waterproof but it's quite tucked away and I have mudguards so despite riding in the rain it hasn't been properly tested really

It's also got a nice big fat reflector on it

I've got a rack mount for my Smart R1 light - works a treat and can be seen from miles away.

Cateye. you can then move the lights between bikes on any of their rear mounts (saddle, seatpost, rack, seatstay).

B&M are also very good, Have one on the Topeak Beam rack.

Some old innertube and your favourite seat post light...

For me 2 PlanetX Phaart and 1 Knog blinder. Phaarts are set to flash and blinder to constant

I've had a few people comment on how good visible this setup is, only problem for me is the blinder only gets around 3.5 hours between charges which is a bit of a pain.
