Can anybody help?
Oh and assuming i've not made this up, has anybody used/fitted one?

Think it was A2Z used to make one, not sure it's still available though, but can find out tomorrow.Won't fit just any bike properly, ideally needing a big flat dropout to work well(seem to remember resorting to a drill and tap to help locate the one I fitted too).
Just checked, still available via Windwave importers so easy to get hold of from most bike shops.

they are fine (if you have a plate dropoput and can work an allen key 😉 )

I used one on an old GT for about 6 years - never slipped, didn't creak and stopped me having to buy a new frame

Tidy.

Got an old frame, but its too good to get rid of.
Thoght i'd have a faff and see what other bits i've got hanging around to fit on.
Disc wheels mean disc brakes!

Thankyou very much........lets see then!...

Specialized make one that is much, much better. I think they are out of production, though.

Bike radar had a review of one a couple of weeks ago which was rated very highly.Review here

If its a steel frame Argos bikes in Bristol will braze one on and reinforce the rear triangle. I had an old frame done a while back and they did a great job, works perfectly and looks like it was made that way. Had to be without the frame for a while though, cost was about £70.00 IIRC.

A2Z... Works brilliant on a flat plate drop out as mentioned before... I've sold and fitted quite a few!

Some rear wheels can be hard to get in and out... and the metal plate on outside goes rusty... 🙁

But function is great... for cross country or trail bike....I've not tried it on a jump bike or Dh rig... more so because anything left standing in that type and that old is knackered anyway....
