Hi I have a 2016 saracen ariel and want to upgrade the brakes. However the rear brake hose is internally routed inside the rear swingarm. I've never worked with internally routed brakes before, my fear is that I'll never get the new brake hose to feed through and out the other side.... Does anyone know if there is likely to be a sleeve that guides it through, or do I need to figure out a way of guiding it manually? Thanks
Electrical tape the new hose to the end of the old hose before you pull it through the frame.
If you are willing to sacrifice a few mm of each hose, screw a small self tapper part way into the old hose, cut the head off and screw the new hose on the exposed thread whilst holding the tip of the old hose in pliers to stop the thread moving in the first hose. Similar concept to the little red connector on a reverb stealth kit. It keeps the hose straight and no excess on the outside to get caught on any obstructions.

Feed a brake inner cable through swingarm, it's stiff so easy to guide, if you rotate the cable it's easy to get through even angled exit holes. Then push a few inches into the brake hose, carefully drag the cable/hose back through.
A very easy way to route hydro hose internally.

Option b) zip ties on the outside of the swingarm. You know it makes sense.
Trim both ends of the old cable down a couple of inches thread a tandem inner gear cable through the new outer brake cable then through the old outer cable all the way through and then just pull through.
