help please guys, how do you know when the axle is tight on a bolt thru fox fork? do you literally just keep tightening until it wont tighten anymore, with a qr you just sort of tighten till it feels semi tight, with the bolt thru it appears to just screw and screw until, im guessing you can screw no more?? also what are the numbers 1-18 for on the opposite side of the lever for??? sorry for the numpty question, new to all this!

Screw it in as far as you can and then try and close the lever

If you can't, unscrew it a bit and try again

The numbers help you to change the position that the lever closes in

ahh thanks james, so do i have to faff with the numbers also? how do you do that then squire? 🙂

does it matter the screw bit is showing through the other side when screwed in tight? i mean the start of the thread is poking through the end? is this normal?
