As per title, anyone run/running a CC Angleset?
I'm running a -2 Works Components headset along with offset bushes on an Airdrop Edit.
Does what it says on the tin, if that's what you're after.
Yeah I've run a works one and currently running a superstar one, does the same job but much cheaper.
Its the CC Angleset which I need feedback on, please.
Been running a -1.5 one for best part of 2 years. Absolutely bang on. Grease the gimbals well on assembly and tighten things down properly and you'll not have any creaks or anything.
Thanks andyrm - early reviews appear mixed but it seems CC make a change to the gimbals - hence I am wanting real feedback. Did you install it yourself? I did read that CC recommend to tighten the cap pre-load bolt down to much higher force than normal - can you confirm this?
I have a very lightly used 44/56 one, now spare after various geometry experiments.
If this is for sale I'm interested depending on the angle for my Transition Scout.
Can you PM me some details please?
I’ve run Anglesets no worries, and currently have another brand on.
The cc works well as long as you are happy that the lower is also making adjustments and cater for that in your calculations. My other one is a fixed one because I wanted to tinker without effecting the a2c. The CC is definitely the better sealed and more versatile though.
I had one, it's a pretty inferior product compared to the Works I replaced it with- overcomplex, overweight, and it creaked like a bastard. I don't think there's any valid reason to buy one over the competition.
I have one - had it a few years and was ex-display so I assume it's likely got the older-style gimbals
don't think it has ever creaked. Lower cup very very slowly turns in the frame, but then frame is pretty old too and by very slowly I mean 5-10 degrees in about 50 hours of riding
