Online booking only this year, no on the day entries. The shorter course is ebike friendly I'm told. The big water features will be on the longer route. There will be two refreshment stops in the Forest including a burger bar.

It's going to be a hoot! 😊 🍻 🚵🏼‍♂️

You rotter you. It's not next weekend, which would have coincided well with me but having plans, it's this weekend which coincides with me having plans.

Brings back memories of beer and phaal infused farts strong enough to make your eyes water. 🤣

I have no idea how the floor in the Neuadd has never collapsed when everyone is dancing in there.
Even trying to stand still you bounce up and down.

Decided to give it a miss this year for the first time in ages. They didn't have the marquee last year which changed the feel of it a fair bit and getting a cooked breakfast before the ride started was really hard work because the cafe's hadn't bothered opening (which boggled our minds).

Loved it in previous years but we're going to have a short break and maybe come back next year.

I've never stayed there so can't comment.
As a pub it's pretty good though.

Can recommend Cerdyn Villa if you're looking for some where to stay.
John and Berni are brilliant, house is lovely and breakfast as awsumz.
We've stayed there more times than I can remember and always had a great time.

Just popped up as a memory on my Facebook feed from 13 years ago. Hopefully it will be drier this weekend đŸ™‚

Breakfast of champions, I particularly enjoyed the stair surfing on tea trays but much of everything else was a blur.

Was talking to the naked stair surfer the next day.
Told me he had a carpet burn on his cock.🤣

If that’s all the damage he received from sliding down a very well used and trodden stair carpet using his cock as a brake then I consider he got off very lightly, the worst injury I received was gravel rash between my arse cheeks from the rather damp riding, good times and company indeed đŸ™‚ ride, drink, fall off, ride some more and repeat

Just back and the event didn't disappoint. The Sun shone. The air was cold and crisp, with a frost on the ground. The views from the tops were just wonderful, looking across to distant mist filled valleys.

Lots of mud, spills and thrills galore and then burgers and beer. And then some more beers...

I was told that the short route was better for ebikes because it was drier. I rode the longer route anyway and it was fine for my Rail.

I decided to give the sheep dip a miss, mates who did ride it said that it was probably a good idea to avoid it but I did see a couple of ebike riders taking the route.

One of our number lost a jockey wheel - if it was you who single-speeded him, many thanks indeed 😊 👍🏼

Great event as ever, so good to see Gordon out at feed stop two!! The genuine welcome this town has put on over the years remains phenomenal. A true grass roots non corporate event, long may it remain so. The organisers need a medal - thank you

I did it. Thought the Gods were trying to tell me something as I had loads of time consuming stuff with the bikes and my duff kidney was playing up early in the week. One of my ONeal shoes broke as I was putting them on. Wandered round with zero issues, though I did sort a jammed jockey wheel for someone. Drove home and lobbed the car onto a hedge. Got lifted off with a Manitou. Probably need another car....
