After having thoroughly wet feet this morning...

Anyone re-proofed a set of Specialized Defrosters? What'd you use?

I think they have a waterproof membrane rather than the synthetic leather being waterproof so they might be write-off. Have you checked inside to see the state of the lining?

take them back - Spesh are very good warranty on these things. I had a pair of 18 month old ones replaced when one of the straps came loose a few yrs ago

How did you cover the big hole in the top? Sure water hasn't ran down your legs an in?

I always assumed this was why I had wet feet wearing them, but I wore waterproof trousers today and still ended up with as much water inside them.

Were defrosters ever waterproof

I fhougt they were just insulated and water repellant ?
