wow, we have a new lbs in hindhead Surrey so I popped in to see what kids bikes they have compared with my other lbs who are a very much specialized shop. I've just bought an orbea 24" dirt mx bike for my 7 year old and it's fantastic . she has had a single speed for the last year and really struggled with hills. with gears she is flying and can now get up the hills that frustrated her previously. the build quality is very good and size just about right due to the small frame.
well worth a look as an alternative to the normal run of the mill
