So, having tried several types of clear specs for MTB riding, Ive yet to find any that limit the amount of muck flying underneath the lenses straight into my eyes. Scratched eye ball this morning after a ride yesterday. Luckily a trip to my local walk in centre helped identify it and given me some gunky antibiotics etc.

I obviously have quite deep eye sockets or low cheek bones or something as I am always getting stuff flying underneath the lenses. Dont want to spend Oakley money though so what else is out there that has some kind of protection on the lower half of the rims to limit muck flying up?

any ideas welcome!
JC

Having a melonhead i'm pretty limited in choice, used to browse chemists for decent sunglasses until found a pair that fitted, then put a lanyard on.

My swimming goggles are adjustable and seem to keep away floating debris, sure they'd do the same for mud and rocks etc 😉

Lot's of Safety Glasses HERE

They work very well in my experience and most are under £10.

Bolle Tracker, google them.
Cross between glasses and goggles, will keep out mud, dust and insects. But will steam up going uphill.

thanks everyone, have also found ladgecom tr90's for £15 which are very similar to the Bolle's with a bit more protection/padding under the eye.
