Just stripped down the freehub on my crossride's. Anyway i was wondering if it's better when rebuilding it to go for the standard pack it full of grease strategy? Or to keep the grease in the freehub area to a minimum so as it doesn't stick the pawls?

All opinions welcome.

Keep it clear of the pawls I think.

Right further to my question. Having done some research around the web i've found an answer & the answer is for mavic hubs/freewheels there should be no grease put anywhere near the freehub at all. Just mineral oil. I found the following to be of help [url=

2, Mavic technical website, technical construction PDF

Hope this may help someone else later on that's looking for the same info. As it took me a while to find all of those links.
