Right hand Ultegra 6700 sti lever on my bike makes a buzzing springy noise on all but the smoothest roads which is irritating. Stops if you ride holding the hood all the time. You can hear it if you bounce the front wheel on the ground when stopped. Have googled it and seems to be a fairly common issue but no definitive fix answer I can find. Have tried all the things I can find like making sure brake cable properly tensioned, packing with grease, looking for anything obviously loose, but no joy yet. Anyone here know how to resolve? The levers were new off ebay over a year ago and have only been using this bike more recently so can't do a warranty claim and return. Any help/tips appreciated. Cheers
It always seems to affect the ultegras
As above, they were shocking for this. Best fix would be to replace with 105.
Yes that's what I have read elsewhere, ditch for 10 speed 105's
Not oiling your chain will help.
