My Commencal Met AM has internal routing for rear brake, shifter and reverb.
The shifter, and obviously the hydraulic lines for brake and reverb, are the thick black hose all the way through rather than tight exposed cables, so they rattle against the frame at the slightest sign of a bumpy surface and its infuriating!
Surely many others must have had this problem - what have you done to solve it?
I thought of wrapping the cable in something soft like sticky back velcro but its tough for the hydraulic lines as i dont want to pull them all the way out and have to bleed them after.
Pull them tight and zip tie around them as they enter to stop them going slack.
I've just shoved a washing up sponge down my downtube which has worked, though a top tip from the guys at Pedals is to use 6mm pipe insulation at the build stage. Transition suggest using heat shrink tubing to hold everything together
I wrapped a thin layer of sports tape (or medical tape) around the part of the hose that would be inside. Silence now. (assuming the entry holes are big enough)
No more big gaps

Watch the set up video for the ibis Ripley. There's a very cunning trick on there with zip ties.
Thanks - I've tried sticking some cable ties in, hopefully it works.
Sir HC i think it mus be your picture i saw somewhere that made me think of velcro, definitely would have tried that if i was putting new cables in!
Had this on and off for about 3 years now
Tried various solutions all of which worked for a while
Zip ties around cables as they enter the frame worked until they came loose
Best solution (post build without removing all the cables) so far has been to shove some bubble wrap inside the frame
