I have an slx cassette on my bike. The biggest four cogs are on a carrier which has bitten into the freehub body and so it now rattles back and forth.
Most of the solutions I can think of will only last two minutes. Is there a semi permanent solution I can try to stop it making noise?
Thanks very much.

it shouldn;t 'rattle' even if it has cut into the splines on the freehub - there shouldn't be that much (ie. any) free movement available with the lock ring done up to the correct torque.

You can get a thin spacer ring that goes on before the cassette that should take the play out .
