Ratite have been back trading a while, their inserts sen alike a pretty reasonable price too, shame they didn’t make it into the Singletrack Group Test.
Actually as a free commented the damping qualities didn’t get reported in that test anyway.
I am not a snake bite sufferer and tend not to burp tyres either.
I've pal who is a great Cushcore believer - he's not a shredder either, but says he agrees with their claim that the bring a new dimension of suspension, more grip basically. So ge rear upfront.
Also a cushcore equipped tyre rolls better even at same PSI. We've tested this very unscientifically at FOD with a rolldown test and 2 bikes with identical tyres and it seems right.

So, back to Ratbite, can they compare on damping? Of course, I know they allow lower pressures which may increase grip but does the insert itself provide any damping? Such. hard question to answer I know. Maybe I'll try one.

Not tried either but have tried Rimpact and Nukeproof ARD.  I think the Rimpact give the feel you are describing so you could try those but the Ratbites look similar so may be worth a try.  Cushcore may be even better but at the price they are I’m never going to find out

So, borrowed a cushcore to try in my DT511 / 29" / Magic Mary Snakeskin Addix Soft FRONT tyre. Yeah front, its grip I'm after.
One ride in and wow.
Better grip, better confidence, no noticeable increase in rolling resistance.
So far all good, expensive I know. I watched him for it - amazing, ten minutes the whole thing only one last 4" of bead on the first side needed a lever.
Apparenretly removal is VERY hard.
