Rebuilding my mountain biking life after being robbed has been difficult for both financial and emotional reasons.

I received lots of kind offers of help on here and in my club which gave me some renewed hope and got me out on some nice bikes that weren't mine. However, every time I rode someone else's bike although it was great to be out riding it reminded me how sorted for me my old bike was.

I bought a secondhand Pitch last month and have upgraded it to get it to where I want and below is the finished job. Its 2010 Pitch Pro with Lyriks from Rob Jackson on here which are great, SLX drivetrain and brakes, Reverb, Merlin built Hope Flox EX rear and some chunky tyres
I like it but wondered what the crushing critique of STW massive would make of it?

Oh and the other bad bit of being robbed is looking with such evil eyes at every bike you see. Not sure what the guy last weekend at Grizedale thought of my Private Pile stare at his Marzocchi 44 RC3 Ti forks...

Should I get some stickerzzz to make it more colourful?

Not sure I can get back to the purple annodised bits - I was there first time round.

Perhaps I should get some ghey looking white rims laced to some overpriced American gold hubs - eh Rich?

I'm quite liking the monochromatic new rear wheel with silver hub and spokes with a black rim, but can't please everyone.

Oh and the green bits of moss are acutally on the Queens Highway and mostly caused by standing water and my van stopping any sun reaching that spot of ground.

As new wheels tubeless set up with serviceable bearings for life £250 not exactly over priced 😉
Get a Mudhugger and you will be sorted for protecting your ass and reverb!

@postierich - when I think abut your wheels the gold hubs and white rims...

@mikewsmith Several of the bikes in the garage were overlooked when the thieves visited last time, but there is less choice now and they may now deem my wife's hybrid 'worth' stealing this time...

Nice bike, Just needs the definitive front splash-guard and you're ready to ride 💡

PS - why is the rocker salmon coloured?

Taking pics outside garage, door wide open, lots of stuff clearly visible, distinctive van to help locate you - good luck with all that.

Oh, and van looks nicer than the bike!

I'll keep an eye out for a different colour rocker if it appears salmon colour!

Riding out of Hawkshead Wednesday night and should give it a good filthy beating.
