Been struggling to find a sufficiently cheap 29'' front wheel so put bits from my blue pig and spares box on my Gary Fisher Rig frame. Got a 29er fork on the way which should sort out the angles a bit.

Ride is 'interesting', but nowhere near as bad as you might think. Looking forward to taking around Swinley, although the BB is a little low and the cranks are 175mm so I'm expecting lots of pedal strike.

Someone please sell me a 29'' front wheel.

At the moment. I'd have to give a 2 out of ten for the Matt black only. It looks dangerous! 🙂

It doesn't have gears or suspension !! So normally thats a no for me. But I love "parts bin" bikes and a ride what you got mentality, so a big thumbs up.

I like the way the chainstay points almost straight into the ground. That gets danger points from me for sure!

Nowhere near enough gears.

Get some amberwall tyres on that.

3/10
could do better

Does it ride like you are continually going down hill but without the gravity boost?

It loses points as the rear valve/logo alignment is about 7° out. It should be smack bang of the Middle of the two "xx" like the front one. Could be fatal! Sort that then take new pic and I'll rate it then. 🙂 Oh and fit some real pedals on too. 😀

Forks too short, brake cables too long, chain too slack, very poor valve alignment, forks don't match the bike.

Apart from that, great. 😉

I think the front disc is a bit small at 200mm, pretty sure you could get some 240mm for the dowhill racing this is crying out for..

Rotors *look* like they're on back to front too (although the arms suggest not). I always think the 'teeth' should be at the trailing, not leading edge as they go through the pads.

Gears for queers fam.

Silver headset spacers Fail

Eyesight fail, those are some OG FSA crabon fibré spacers right there.

It loses points as the rear valve/logo alignment is about 7° out

This is a valid point and will be rectified when I can be bothered.

Oh and fit some real pedals on too

This is not a valid point.

Forks too short, brake cables too long, chain too slack, very poor valve alignment, forks don't match the bike.

You're just pointing out the obvious, try a little harder.

I think the front disc is a bit small at 200mm,

I'm a little worried that the QR will get pulled out with anything bigger

Rotors *look* like they're on back to front too

Yeah, as you say, arms are correct, it's just the design of the rotor.

I like the commitment of the pedals, it's quite a beast!

Update!

[img] [/img]

Correct length forks have been purchased, and a front wheel is on it's way. Huzzah! Now, where's cheapest for 29er inner tubes?

The angle of the [s]razor[/s] saddle has changed?

Otherwise I'm alright with any bike with some love in it, yours has some charm. It's got a good bake, could do with a splash of colour. May I suggest gold. 6/10.

Sort your wood out too 😉

Laziness of not adjusting it after adding 60mm to the a2c length.
