Just put my bike back together after a few months with some different bits. I'm not sure it works...

(Yes the shed and grass need attention and theives, my bike definitely doesn't live in the shed!!)

Have the wheels shrunk or is it 2006?

What tunes can you get from the cable stretched across the frame?
😉

Colour scheme seems fine, but you should sort out the cable routing and dump the front mech for something that will keep the chain on a bit better.

need to bring those brake levers up a bit.

not sure about brown saddle, white face plate and brown bars with red brakes.

I found crossing the brake/gear hoses behind the seat tube was the neatest solution.

Valves and tyre logos!

White saddle and I'd say you're about there.
Still think the backward arch forks look odd.

Black and white saddle, with white grips, would look better I reckon. But who cares what it looks like, it's not an accessory, it's a tool.

But I'm guessing you don't really care what I think and you should be going soooo fast people can't see it for long enough. 😉

"Scheme" is a strong word. Scheme implies some bits are the same colour as each other.

Admittedly the title is a bit ironic. I think it's the white wheels and red brakes that I'm trying to get used to. Not got round to securing the cable yet.

I guess being colour blind has it's advantages, judging by the replies. I like it 😉

Apply a few bottles of Tippex to the frame and it'll be sorted.

Forks are the wrong way around and the shock has fallen off the back and you need a layback post as that post isn't laying back enough. Apart from that, acceptable. 🙂

Black seat and lose/change the Blue frame decals for Red ones and the 'XTR'Chain stay and you may have some semblance of a scheme going on.

Decals on the wheels are far too busy for me.

Not normally a bike tart but have just swapped the seat for a white one. I think it was the brown seat which was throwing it.

Rides lovely, it is a Mav after all 😉

Beyond ugly.
😯

And in answer to your question?
No, no it certainly doesn't work.
Awful. Truly awful. 😥

Bar end cap logos not parallel to ground......and that guitar string along with the mech still being there....that Narrow wide ring won't need a chain retention device IME, I'm running a 1x9 on a Cove Stiffee with non clutch mech and still not managed to throw chain off despite really trying hard!
