Rode down half of Flinty Badman today... Cause the other half has been closed. National Trust has also closed down the end of Baba Yaga.
The information boards they've put up are quite anti-bike. Seems like the new ranger is old school.
Has anyone or any group started meeting up with the ranger? There are great trails out there is about time the national trust starts working with us not against us!

Why? Anyway, thought they'd sanctioned some of the trails on north side of the ranmore road but with the intention of closing others (based on sssi locations etc).
Meh, ebb and flow for me....flinty has been a good trail for years but plenty of new ones popping up so if flinty goes then so be it (although doubt it'll ever truly go based on attempts to close other trails like golden nugget)
This. There are enough good trails in the area for me not to be fussed by a few being changed/shortened. We are lucky to keep any “Cheeky” trails on sensitive NT land and I think we are still spoilt for choice considering.
Your probably right. I'm just concerned more trails will close. The tone of their info boards are also really anti bike - which there is no need for. The NT got more with the times.
Yep there has been a bit of a change on the north side of Ranmore. All the more ironic after the huge mess the logging made at the bottom of Flinty over the winter. Although the other closure is only the bottom of Big Yaba/STS/R’n’B which is fine. Just the last 50yards.
Still lots of trails come and go. Rode Il Duce off the south side of NDW, further along towards Coombe Bottom, for the first time last weekend and it was epic.
