Had a look at Compass tyres but at £69.99 much more expensive than WTB. Looked at Schwalbe g ones but opted for Byways, was looking for WTB Resolutes but none in stock anywhere. Was looking for something similar to them.

Jonny how do those Specialized ride and size up? My new Salsa Vaya frame can take 50mm without mudguards

They size up accurate, they ride superb, quick, good grip in all but really muddy conditions but that's running them about 22psi tubeless, also specialised tyres are some of the easiest to set up tubeless, absolute bargain at that price (i bought 2 sets 🙂

It depends what you intend the function of the 650b tyre to be I guess.

For me I was looking for a tyre that suited winter conditions and the Spech Fast Traks didn't meet that need. Very good tyre in every other situation though as Andy and jrm mention.

Think I'm going to give the Schwalbe X-one Bites a go when I can find some.

Those Schwalbe look a bit too off road for what I need, sok I also read that review and opted against them. I currently have WTB byways set up tubeless for my Vaya but the Spesh tyres will give me another option when the byways aren’t suitable

Rock and Road by Bruce Gordon. 43C and you can get then from Just Pedal in the Netherlands. They size up big and are super funky with the tan sidewall. Proper grip too.

Scruff if I hadn’t just bought the spesh ones I’d take the resolutes but with the byways as well I think I’m covered for a while
