Bimbling along a path between two fields today, one I've ridden many times over the last 20 odd years. It's not even shown as a FP on the OS map.
Came across a walker, which in itself is unusual on this trail!
Walker "this isn't a bridleway, you shouldn't be on here."
Me "it's not anything I think, so neither of us should be here I suppose."
W "well I own the field next to it."
M "do you own the land the path is on?"
W "no, no-one does. But you still shouldn't be here."
M "That's interesting, so you really can't tell me what to do here can you?"
W "But, but, but, you're a on a bike. You can't..."
M "lovely chatting, but I'm going now. Thanks for wasting my time. Bye"
W ...unintelligable shouting as I cycle off.

Can you prove it? Get it submitted to CyclingUK to try and get bridleway status 🤣

GPS data on it since getting one in about 2011.
Too many low trees though, you'd never get a horse down it, so I doubt it'd make bridleway status.
Tbh, no-one else rides it. I'm kom on it, and my mate Joe is second. That's it! 😆
I'd (very) loosely term it as slow, technical single-track.
Brilliant.
i like that.
Mad lady started on my dad for picking blackberries on a ROW for (variously in the same interaction), disturbing her horses, being hers because they were next to the field with the horse, being hers because the roots were probably in said field. Mad as ****.
grumpy old man walking toward me as i cycle along the trail waving walking sticks
he aggressively tells me i shouldn't be on the path, i point out hes on the blue cycle trail, the footpath is a few metres over there with people on it
he complains its not signed
i point out theres a sign at the entrance hes just passed
he then says im supposed to have a permit, yep i pay £65 a year, when I ask how much he pays he starts blustering & then his very put upon wife tells him to stop
even tho he made himself look a complete tit in front of quite a few people, i still rode off pretty annoyed
I had what turned it a positive chat a few years ago while checking out a descent.
The lady obviously clocked me eyeing it up and went and stood at the top of it, but with her back to me, looking at the view, with arms folded.
I rode up next to her and said hello.
"I hope you are not planning to ride down here?"
Yes, I was actually
"Do you know it's a footpath?"
Yes, I do. It's dry, there's clear lines of sight, no one coming and I'll stop and pull off the track if I see anyone. It is slightly cheeky but as long as I don't harm anyone I think it's OK to do something slightly cheeky every now and then.
"Oh, I suppose I have to agree. Enjoy your cycling."
