Maybe this will stop the to-and-fro on the other thread. All the negs can stay on there and lets just have positive comments on here (FAT CHANCE!) 😀

One of the biggest positives for me was to see the progression of the female riders! I mean, did we ever think we'd see them do shit like this?

The first part of the round up vid is dedicated to those kerazzy women

I was astounded by the men's riding too, the speed they were getting through some sections, knowing they could control it for the next. The control they have on those almost vertical walls, is incredible.

Was a big shame there were some injuries, they are much discussed on the other thread. But to me it was an amazing spectacle of skill and mental toughness all the way through. My partner, who hasn't seen it before, was stunned. They're just falling with style, she kept saying.

Long live Rampage.

I enjoyed most of it, but there were obviously bits I also hated.

I loved the women's event.  There is no way I could ever do it but you could see how you might think the lines were possible and that made it more enjoyable.

I watched the men's event while eating my breakfast and then on the train to work. Absolutely it was entertaining.

Unlike a lot of people I find the more 'slopestyle' element of riding far more compelling than the 'smashing down some rocks' stuff. The geometrical complexity of what they are able to do between a take-off and landing with a remarkable degree of accuracy and (mostly) success blows my mind.

When Emil started his 2nd run I remember thinking he'd been scored fairly low, he'll be determined to prove something and hoped he wouldn't stack trying too hard. Holy ****! I wasn't expecting that.

Pretty sure I'll watch it next year too.

I enjoyed it overall but like always the judges and scoring makes no sense to me. My favourite runs to watch were Tom Isted, Jaxson Riddle and Finley Kischenmann which all scored quite low. Finley had the most fun tricks and style imo!

If Finley was the young lad in the slider's, then yes, his absolutely joyful riding was my favorite bit 😎

Signed to Commencal when he was 12 apparently. Makes it all look so easy. And sometimes wears lace ups 😀
