Figured I'd try some after the feature on here, and getting very fed up with SS sintered pads glazing over and howling. I bought the superspeed (middle) ones.

£24 and three days later they arrive and - wow! Absolutely silent, loads more modulation than the SS pads (slx brakes) and bedded in within 20 stops. They're backed with a heat resistant compound too, which means minimal chance of boiling the fluid

Obviously too early to comment on longevity but I'm impressed so far 😀

Doug at basqueMTB really rates them. He's a man of integrity and I trust his opinion but it's nice to hear someone else saying good things about them.

RicB, really glad to hear your feedback. I´ve recommended these to loads of people and I really hate recommending stuff because I feel the pressure so it´s good to see positive reviews coming back in. I hardly recommend anything because at the end of the day it´s my reputation too, but I was really convinced with these pads. We are using them out here and have been given a few pairs to test and I really rated them. I find longevity good too, lets see how you get on.

How do the different "speeds" relate to compound? Had a look on their website but couldn't see any details.

Oooh radar chart. Thanks for the link, I'll hang my head in shame at my own ineptitude:-)
