Hi guys, just about to put two new tyres on my bike and I've got Scwalbe's Racing Ralph and a Nobby Nic both 2.25's. Which one is best on the front in your experience ? Tar...

More grip on the front - a loss of grip is more manageable/predictable on the rear..

Is it fixed gear and your speciality is riding backwards?

I'd mount the Ralph inside out just to be different...

Always more grip on the front than the back. Nic front Ralph back.

Oh. And you might want to carry an extra tube/more patches, nothing punctures quite like an xc schwable IME.

er not to point a flaw in the question but what are you going to do with them?

Tried some NN's and they were a bag of excrement. Utterly hopeless tyres for what I wanted. The RR's look worse.
However you may not ride the same stuff as me

Mmmm! I see...never used these before but a friend ? Recommended the Ralph so got a Nic at the same time. Not REALLY what I was hoping to hear !
Easily puncture ? I take it you mean the same Mike ? Or is it JUST the grip ? DON'T say the grip is bad too !

The grip is good for what they are- lightish, fast rolling, xc-but-not-full-on-race-xc tyres.

Yep they were specced on a 150mm full sus, and I took them into the mountains, grip was laughable really but fine on more XC stuff.

I was racing (XC) that set up at the weekend. No punctures, no loss of grip on the front. Been running it for over a year now without issue. I am moving to a Ralph on the front simply because the Nobby is a bit draggy. I run them tubeless at 35 psi. I'm approx 68kg.

Please stop the random capitals.

I'm not a massive fan of the Nic, it's heavier and slower than a Ralph, but not really that much grippier, and rubbish when it's properly wet. Ralphs both ends for me when it's dry.

Not had problems with punctures, but would use Snakeskin ones if you have lots of rocks.
