No, because the Cinch BB is for a 30mm spindle (BSA30), so it has bigger bearings.

l.e. Nevermind, I see there's a 24mm version also (X-type?); that one looks like it will take a regular Shimano tool.

as otsdr says. There are now 2 x Shimano BB wrench sizes, neither of which will work with the RF Cinch.

I took my RF BB out with a pipe wrench as it went in the bin to be replaced with a new Hope 30mm BB, which needs yet another BB wrench, available from Charlie the Bike Monger.

Depends which one, there are 3 Shimano external threaded BB tools just now. Race Face Cinch BSA 30 is different again, but the same as some Rotor/Zipp.

Just the usual bike "standards"

You'll also find a RF Cinch tool will not work with all 30mm BBs - there's now a bigger version for Wheels Mfg and Hope - actually a good thing as it means they're fitted with reasonable size bearings, not the piddly little things that RF use that can seize after one wet ride. I literally have a drawer full of different BB tools

Great just what I didn't want to hear, I'll be glad when some of these companies go to the wall with all these standards.
