Following on from my 'wobble' thread, having had the cranks off my bike it appears that the BB bearings are to blame rather than anything else. Though the spec for the bike list a shimano BB it is in fact a Press Fit RaceFace item.
Question is, can these be serviced (ie bearings replaced - [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/race-face-bottom-bracket-rebuild-kit/rp-prod64642 ]I assume this kit is OK[/url]) easily at home (I don't have the tools - so am thinking just using a hammer and drift to tap through), or am I better off taking it to the LBS to be removed, binned and a new Shimano one (cheaper and most likely better) popped in?
