I'm sure I've missed something. Will just sliding out the RF crank and replacing it with XT work?
Or - what do I need?

You’ve missed something.
The Cinch B.B. accommodates a 30mm axle. Shimano HT2 is 24mm.
You need a new BB to suit your frame...

As above... unless it's an aeffect crank in which case it's a straight swap.
