Alright chaps!

Use high roller 2.3s and love em, but doing the west highland way in a day and want least rolling resistance possible and best grip out a tyre!

so should I go for the high roller xc 1.9 or Conti race king 2.0 - never used contis before and dont know what race kings are like... (punctures not a consideration as they get ghetto tubeless'd up!

Cheers Guys

Conti's don't work as well tubeless, more porous.

I'd say Racing Ralps or Rocket Rons, the former if it's rocky.

i like my conti race kings. nice grippy tyre (used them in a couple muddy races ok) i have the proper tubeless version, and they work a treat.

racing ralphs would be the other choice as njee said, i reckon rocket rons are a bit fragile (if you get normal, non tubeless ones)

Narrow doesn't always mean less rolling resistance, my 2.35 small block 8s roll faster than any of the narrow tyres i have (well, other than the slicks). Almost certainly going to be faster than the highrollers, which aren't really built for pace.

Not sure if I'd recommend them for this mind, never ridden the west highland way but the bits I've walked were a bit damp in places, especially past loch lomond 😉 And these aren't wet weather tyres, they can do it but not very well.
