well i've got a dead X-type BB (shouts of no surprise/cheese etc etc)
anyway before i search for the huge hex key to remove the cranks am i right in thinking they are HT2 compatable - i have an unused shimano mtb HT2 BB sat in the spares box
You are right in your thinking.
you are right, it was standard practise to replace shot X-Type BB with HT2 BB, as the old X-Type BB had 'full complement balls' with little grease and poor sealing = rapid crunchy time
cheers - I could recall that use a HT2 tool and that look the same but RF site just says some parts compatable - was a bit surprised that was an actual RF BB fitted must have picked one up somewhere
