Any good for a 1X10 setup with XT type 2 clutch mech / without chain guide?

Or is buying the narrow wide ring separate and using XT cranks still the preferred option?

Guess it depends if you need/want new cranks. There's no reason to get new cranks for the chainring.

I'm in need of some new cranks anyway as I'm running a fairly worn 3X9 Alivio set.

Going for the all in one Raceface option would save me a bit of cash.

The easy with which you can install & remove shimano HT2 cranks over the extraction bolt of Raceface would win for me, hands down. Getting the chainline right with RF is a nightmare!

rondo+1 compared with Shimano everything is a pain, HT2 all the way.

They look the same as my Turbine's which are no trouble at all to fit. Just need an 8mm allen key. Not significantly more difficult than HT2.

compared with [s]Shimano[/s]SRAM everything is a pain, [s]HT2[/s] SRAM all the way.

Same system as Race Face (at least on the Next stuff) 8mm and that is the only tool, much simpler and less to screw up for the muppets.
