I have rear wheel issues. I recently bought a race Face aeffect rear wheel from CRC. It's 142x12. Yesterday at bpw I put a big ding in the rim now it won't set up tubeless and is in a bad state.
So I need a new rim. I have an old Mavic ex729 which could be built into the hub or could even go on to a DT Swiss 350 hub I have. The DT Swiss hub has been converted to 142x12 with the proper Dt Swiss end caps. None of that is a particular problem. However I am considering a new frame which will be boost. I cannot work out whether either of the hubs I have can be converted to boost. I don't think the DT Swiss will convert as there does not appear to be an adapter. With regard to the race Face hub I have no idea what it is. It may be the new trace hub but it may not. I think it's the 2019 wheel (according to CRC ) so can anyone point me in the direction of any info on converting it at some point?
Or the other option is to not spend any money on either and get a pro 4 hub / wheel which is easy to boost if and when necessary. I don't want to throw money at it now only to find I need to get a whole new wheel a bit further down the line. Any ideas?
Any one have a nice cheap 142 pro 4 they no longer need?
