My Mrs uses a Rab Event jacket for hillwalking. Well made, waterproof, breathable - does what it says on teh tin etc, etc, etc,

Hi Ton

I ride in a Momentum in the wet. Big hood that goes over a helmet is a winner. I've just got one of their new heavy duty soft shells and it's blinding on the bike on cold and windy days. I just find that Rab kit fits me well and is suited for big days out on the hills. Their synthetic belay jackets are great for mid ride stops and as a just in case layer if things go wrong on a ride!

Sanny, i use a generator pullover for cold dry days, and their base layers.
realy nice stuff, the volt looks ok, packs small and hopefully wont get too clammy with it being pertex.
suppose i just need to find one to try on.

I've used a Volt, the fabric's a 2.5-layer thing which means it feels a bit less substantial than their eVent jackets - has a sort of print on the inside rather than a layer of liner fabric - but works well enough and is decently light. Rab tend to cut their sleeves very long and know what they're doing with waterproof jackets generally. Don't know what else to say really, the hood might be a bit flappy on a bike, but that's hooded jackets for you.

I have a Rab Stretch Neo jacket for hiking and couldn't be happier with it. The quality and fit are superb - as mentioned above, the sleeves are a really decent length, which suits me at 6'5 and slim. Also been really impressed with the customer service. Would buy again.
