Asking anyone who has one of these, one of the windproof or waterproofs jackets. They all are elasticated at the wrist, so does that mean you can pull them up your arms when riding in the summer to aid cooling?
I currently have a couple of Endura jackets that you can not and I miss being able to do that as I run (ride) hot
Thanks in advance
I bought my girlfriend a rab cinder borealis (unfortunately they don't make one big enough for me), and can confirm the sleeve can be pulled up if required, might be a problem if you have popeye arms. The borealis jacket is very stretchy also and very breathable, IMO it is pretty close to the perfect cycling jacket.
The Kinetic has enough give to pull up to elbow level, yep.
Thanks all. I'll take a greater look

Here are two different jackets from the cinder range hitched up. Both are women’s size L and I’ve only got a t-shirt under it (so bare arms). The blue Kinetic one is too tight to be comfy like that imo. The orange Downpour one would be ok. My forearms are fairly sizeable I think!
Watch the sizing too, I'm normally an XL in most jackets but wearing it in the rain last week when it was warm out I only wore a baselayer underneath. Jacket felt very baggy. I've not lost weight so I wish I'd sized down. In winter with a few layers it'll probably be spot on.
I'll have to try some on and see if a bike shop will let me, wouldn't want to irreversibly stretch one!

Yep, mine sits happily below the elbow. I find if you roll any jacket up above the elbow, it all gets a bit ruckky and bulky. The sizing on the Kinetic is the same as their walking/climbing Kinetics rather than a more typical cycling fit. Oh, and there's a cycling-specific Vapour-Rise jacket out next winter, which should be good.
That’s great that they are planning on releasing a cycle specific vapour rise.
I’ve been wearing a VR on the bike for the last 5 years or so, for me the VR fabric is almost perfect for cycling so was a bit baffled that they hadn’t included one with the cinder range.
Yeah, I thought it was a glaring omission, maybe along with some sort of Gore-Tex shell maybe. I mostly ride off road in a VR Light Alpine thingee, have done for ages, but rarely use the hood on the bike. The Cinder version looks to be zoned and have torso vents too, could be brilliant.
