I'm hoping this will work as i have the 4 main 12spd bits sram say are essential ( cassette, mech, shifter and chain). Just seen a killer deal.on an xx1 11spd crank in my size and am hoping it will work no issues... came to the STW font to check
I'm 99% sure it'll be fine. Even if it wasn't, you could get a 12 spd after market chain ring anyway.👍
I have never run Eagle with an oem Eagle chain ring in fact, zero issues.😁
Just the answer i needed. Nice one.
Make sure you have the correct bottom bracket and tool for putting the thing in.
I would have thought a 12 speed chainring would be required if you don't want rumbling and premature wear of the rest of the drivetrain. But that's an easy and cheap swap.
As I recall- with 12spd/Eagle SRAM introduced the X-Sync 2 teeth design on the chain-ring (the claw look of the teeth is apparently why they called it Eagle!) - BUT they stated at the time of launch that X-Sync 2 was backwards compatible to 11spd, so highly likely an X-Sync 1 chainring will with a 12spd chain.
