I am wondering if there are any XC / gravel riders in the Dorking / Surrey Hills area who fancy doing some quick rides? I have had a couple of offs in the summer and have focused on XC since then, going as quick as I can on the on up-hills and flats. I still like steep technical trails but the focus is going a quicker in between the downhill sections.
PM me if you fancy it. I work from home in Dorking so can ride at pretty much any time.
Cheers, Rich
Not my area, but the fast ride from Nirvana Cycles in Wescott is the kind of riding you describe.
9:30, Saturday mornings.
I've been meaning to drop you a line, actually. I've a criminally underused Diverge, so a bit of gravel might be a very good thing. I'll chuck some 'cross tyres on it. Lunchtime ride next time I'm WFH? I've still not fitted those Genesis forks, by the way. 😀
Oh, and I'm not terribly fast, by the way...
Where's gee these days? IIRC he's "fairly" quick 😉
Much quickerer than me. I'll be the 'slow base miles' stunt chunker, then.

@Bent Udder Ben, yes always up for a ride. Get that Diverge out and let's go! This week?

@Nedrapier I ride with the Dorking Cocks (from Nirvana) and whilst there are some quick riders in the group the overall pace is more mellow. Thanks for posting though.
Fair enough! One man's "quick" is another man's "slow base miles"! (Hi Ben!) I joined a few of those rides many years ago and they were quick enough for me! No idea how the group's evolved since.
