I'm looking to hire a Spesh Status 1 in Morzine and am wondering whether to go for the medium or large (I'm a smidgeon over 5.10 [and regularly proportioned] which puts me right on the border line). Any thoughts or experience?
I'm 6 foot and I loved my Medium Demo 8, could really chuck the bike around.
Surely they would size you up though and if you hated it on day 1 you could swap it?
I'm 5'10" also & riding a large Pitch. If it's mostly descending though I'd try the medium, sometimes find the large a bit barge-like, though it's very stable.
I'd say you were on the border of large and medium. Depends if you like chuckability or stability. The beauty of hiring is that you will be able to try both.
Cheers - I'm thinking a medium. I'm booking online with a tour operator so am being asked to choose now. Off with the missus hence why not taking my own bike as I won't be out all day every day. Ages since I've been to Morzine - looking forward to it!
