Hiya

Quick question to sooth my OCD , Im looking at replacing a worn out fox rp23 200 x 51 with a bargain Manitou radium expert 200 x 50 , will that shorter travel translate into anything noticeable on the bike ?

Also while I am at it is the Manitou Radium a decent shock ? Just want to get the bike going again only get out on it a dozen times a year , not looking for top class spec

Thanks

J

I suspect the 200x50 is a 200x51 but someone rounded down instead of up when coverting from inches.

If it really is 50mm vs 51, then you'll have slightly less travel - for a 140mm bike, travel would reduce to 137.25.

As HG says there probably isn't a 50mm stroke shock it's just being miss sold.

I think it is actually 50 , on the manitou site its listed as 200 x 50

I always thought they were the same thing, just a case of the inch conversion & associated rounding.

I also assume its just the inch to mm conversion and if accurate the difference wont be noticeable in use but will be reduced travel
