On this Cube AMS 130 you can run it at 150mm. standard running is 130mm setting with a head angle of 70° if you run it at 150mm does this change the head angle and by how much? rear is a fixed 130mm (i think)

heres the bike http://www.thebikelist.co.uk/cube/ams-130-slt-2012

so it be 69° then. do you think thats an ok angle for most trail centre stuff black routes? saying that my HT was 70° and used them ok, always remember feeling like i really had to push my self back on stuff, where as my wolfridge felt alot more comfy. it was 67.5° though

Is this a bike you own currently or are looking to buy?

If you are looking to buy then i would suggest looking elsewhere. If you know you are happier on a slacker bike. be aware that it is not only the head angle that will change with longer forks, the bottom bracket height and seat tube angle will also alter.

Below is a link to cotic bikes and gives a great example of what happens to other areas as well as head angle when longer forks are used

HI Rusty, nice link thanks. I currently own it, bought it more for long xc alpine type trecks, ive had it a few months but not ridden it as ive been too busy with other commitments, now that things are settling im looking to get back out, going to my local (kirroughtree)doing off piste so i'll get a good idea of what its like.

Interestingly BR wrote a review on the 130, they said they rode it about everywhere with the forks at 150 and it felt better this way than the 150 AMS, im guessing because it had 150mm up front and 130mm rear
