Hi

We're meeting up with some other families in this area, and I'm wondering whether to take my bike.

I can't be too antisocial  but as an early riser, I reckon a couple of hours and out in the morning would be acceptable. I can do a bimble, or get fairly technical if required.

I don't want to get lost, bogged down or badly injured, I can download a GPX to my watch.

Choice between a LLS hardtail or SS gravel bike.

Any suggestions? Or should I just play it safe and read a book?

Thanks

Wessenden valley climb (or descent) is nice on a gravel bike. Could link it up with trails heading towards Meltham or drop down in to Holmbridge/Holmfirth. Don’t know the area that well personally but ridden most of the above on the Calder Divide route on a gravel bike.
