Looking at new forks for my tourer. Currently running forks with 405mm a to c and an offset of 50mm.

Wanting to change for forks with a to c of 425 with options of offset 45mm or 50mm.

Which offset option should I choose?

Do you want slacker and floppier steering, or even more slack and floppy steering?

(Assuming this is a drop bar tourer)

I'd go 50mm but would still expect the handling to go to sh1t to some extent, esp if adding a bigger OD wheel that will compound the added trail from the fork length/HTA change. My experience of longer forks on drop bar bikes is the range of change that feels ok to ride is fairly narrow.

Cheers James. It's not a drop bar tourer... Not in its current guise anyway. Marin four corners frame with a croix de fer fork and Geoff bars.
