Think of doing this next year

Off road how long does it take?

And sorry to state the obvious but

St bees to Robin Hood Bay is longer, right? So how long does that take.

We'd like to challenge ourselves but also enjoy it.

Thank you in advance kind people.

If your doing the Woodcocks route, then it can be done in 4.5 days, at a resonable pace. About 240 miles, but just take your time and eat and drink plenty.

I'd recomend;
St Bees - Eskdale 0.5 days
Eskdale - Troutbeck 1 day
Troutbeck - Kirkby Stephen 1 day
Kirkby Stephen - Osmotherly 1 day
Osmotherly - Robin Hoods 1 day

You could take longer depending of fitness, and conditions. Not sure i'd fancy going over mosdale in the rain.

I did Whitehaven to Sunderland, road but with a load of off road alternate routes. 150 miles in two days. Def a challenge with, for anyway, with a) the off road additions and b) the fact you're riding mountain bikes not road bike for the rest of it. Great fun, would recommend. But take lights, so you don't get caught out like I did!
