I am currently running a Blackspire "stinger" chain guide on my Nomad Carbon 26". The trouble is that when I am riding slow techy rock sections it often gets bashed and hits the chain stays.
I am wondering whether to just take it off and run without a chain guide???.
For my gearing I have a 2x9 set up with bash ring (32&22 Chainrings and 11-34 cassette). I don't want to go to 1x10 as I won't have low enough gears to get up a mountain.
Would be interesting to hear what other owners do regarding chain guides or no chain guides . Thanks!
2X10 "till the weekend" then I will be 1X
At which point I will sell you my e-thirteen bash with roller, I tried a few variations on a theme and was always throwing my chain until I fitted this and it's never ever dropped a snot,
If you want new I can have a look which model it is so to speak and let you know but I'd certainly reccomend one.
