Quick question, is there somewhere acceptable to park in or near Belmont whilst I go riding tomorrow? Don't want to annoy residents or park where I shouldn't. I usually park at the end of the pigeon tower descent, but want to end on San Marino instead
I've parked on the main road (Hugh Street) justjbefore the junction with Rivington Road (coming from Bolton) loads of times without issue.

It's a public car park, you shouldn't get any mither from walkers, dog walkers, home owners etc. It's quiet apart from weekends when walkers use it, other than that I've had it to myself. It's away from the traffic on the main roads and it's got nice surroundings. There is no better place in Belmont to end or start a ride.

Plus all other rides I ever do from Belmont start from here. Plus as a bonus you get to ride the Blue Lagoon techy singletrack right from the start! Starting with a steep staircase! Don't bother trying to ride up this when you come back at the end of the ride though. It's not ride-able the other way round. Just go up the adjacent road instead.
