Hello all
im after any suggestions for any off piste at the Quantocks
I’ve ridden all the stuff at triscombe and the steeper tracks over just past the chimney in great wood
was just wondering if there are any other areas with some tracks that would be worth checking out?
thanks in advance
cheers
Other side of the valley from the chimney has loads of stuff.
Pretty much every combe has a few tracks in it.
Some of my favourites are Frog Combe and Bincombe.
Quite a few tracks starting up by Dead Woman's Ditch (both sides).
I'd say Strava heatmap is your friend here!
Do you mean the woods on the opposite side of the fire road that drop down to the campsite/place with the wooden chalets?

Yes 🙂
Is a shame to come to the Quantocks and not experience the natural stuff the north side of the road. Loads of combes, all of which are marked on a map / Strava and a lot of fun.
I usually ride triscombe side but this route was good - lots of singletrack natural stuff as opposed to the straightline bridleways you can get at some places.

Minehead up the road is also superb, find a route from a southern enduro on strava (or do an event, theyre ace!).
I still miss Brenden's trail in triscombe, the really steep one all the way along, often wondered if that would come back but the forestry stopped it I think.

Yes, there's excellent riding in the woods south of Minehead. I found a local to show me around, which made it a lot easier 🙂
A LOT of climbing though. Bring your fit legs!
