Got myself a quad lock for mounting my phone to the handlebars - quite happy with it on the MTB and gravel bike.
I just have the stick-on clip (the adhesive is brilliant) + the handlebar mount - no fuss. Seems to work very well - it only came off once (a tree ran into me).
One thing I noticed - when pedalling round the Highlands, I did want to stop to take photos etc every ten minutes. I found it a bit faffy to get it on and off the bike numerous times a day because of the twist action, which did interfere with my front light. Probably only an issue on the gravel bike as the handlebars are quite narrow.
Just wondering if anyone's used the Mag version - whether it's easier to mount and dismount, but also whether it's just as sturdy?
i have a the mag charger in the car. its great, just more or less put it close and it locks in. not sure how robust it would be on a bike.
Peak designs mount is great for this application. Magnetic powered locking with a simple push button release.
Mag owner here for the van and it just works. Very stable, has only come off once in 18 months which was more to do with a ham fisted gear change than anything else. It is more expensive but am more than happy with it.
As noted above, I also have no idea how suitable it would be for the bike but very pleased with it and the case seems pretty bombproof too.
