You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Possibly a silly question. Per title - or will it be removed from me for somehow vaguely looking like a potential weapon?
Why not stick it in your hold baggage or maybe in your bike bag? A friend had bits of climbing equipment less threatening looking than a QR skewer confiscated out of his hand luggage so I wouldn't risk it.
I wouldn't risk it these days.
The real question is - why would you need to do this?
The only reason I can think of is when traveling with hand luggage only, and taking the skewer to a friend.
Metal spikey thing? Err no....
I’d say not, but was amazed recently to see someone crocheting with a metal crochet hook in the boarding gate area.
@belugabob - you got it almost bang on. Based on abov comments, I guess I’ll post it, and hope it doesn’t get lost in transit / somehow require a customs fee.
No chance. Better to wait until you've gone through check-in, at which point you'll be allowed to buy a litre of inflammable liquid in a container you can break and use as a weapon.
or use the cutlery you get with your food
They aren't a prohibited item but you are at risk of a security guy making his own rules up. Those boxes of stuff displaying confiscated items often have allowed items in like small scissors. Also in reference to the post above knitting and crochet needles are given as an example of an allowed item
