Looking on the webistes and can't see anything specific saying it's closed, so i'm assuming it's open ? Purely from a trail context i'm wondering, not a cafe etc.

Could do with some trails for me and the boy at the moment and as Wales is shut, Swinley is shut, trying to think of some other options.

Yes, QECP is open as is the carpark. Cafe, visitor centre closed. Prob toilets too, but not 100% on that.
There is however, forestry work going on, so final section of Red trail is closed. Blue all open.

Qecp trails have been open throughout the lockdown

The car parks were closed until last week, cafe and visitor centre are still closed

There is FC work going on at the moment to remove ash trees due to ash die back so there are some minor diversions

End of the red is still closed due on going improvement works

I Seriously doubt the trails were open for riding when the National Trust had closed the park...

Yes they were open and the national trust are nothing to do with QECP, the whole park was open to walkers, horse riders, cyclists etc.. but all car parks were closed

Ive been going there throughout the lockdown (riding there and back) and had a couple of chats with the rangers around the park, they just asked people to be sensible and stick to marked trails

The blue trail is running great, as others have said the red final descent and the first blue climb are closed. There's also some forestry work going on at the top near shoot for the trees and a few trails more trails blocked off on Head Down.

It was busy last weekend, the bottom car parks were rammed. It's a big enough place though so not much of a problem.

Interesting. Quite surprised that the rangers are working.

the national trust are nothing to do with QECP
It's not a National Trust site then?

Will probably ride there on the weekend then! Make a nice change after all these weeks. Not the same without the last section of red though.

It's owned by Forestry Commission and managed in partnership with Hampshire County Council. FC were at one point asking people to stay away from their land (not enforced for obvious reasons) but they changed their tune when the govt said local exercise was allowed.

There have been a small number of staff on site since the lockdown started as the park still have visitors, they have mainly been by the main entrance and by the start of some of the fire roads

The park is run by Hampshire county council and as far as im aware they use the Forestry Commission for any planned forestry work, the national trust have nothing to with QECP as far as im aware

Seems reasonable. It's not a job they can do from home and reasonably straightforward to keep to the social distancing rules.

It’s not a National Trust site then?

No, it's owned / run by FC / Hampshire County Council.
