Has anyone been to QECP in last few days? Thinking of going there tomorrow, once the constant rain stops!

Guessing it might be a bit slippy but not been there for years so don’t know if trails drain well or not. Seem to remember it being quite rooty too?

Probably not much help, but I had to turn back the way I came yesterday after getting to the plateau after Old Winchester Hill's summit (~660 feet), due to ice.

Wet and muddy. Was snowy in places yesterday but today’s rain will shift that!
The Blue trail is 95% surfaced and will just have standing water in a few places and a little mud here & there, but still running mega fast. The Red trail will be muddy and slippy but it’s still rideable.
It’s actually better when properly wet than when it starts to dry out and become a claggy chalky mess.

Rode through yesterday on the blue on way to Mercury on tandem, was OK as frozen on fire roads and the blue was fine and only a bit puddly however if it's raining there as it has now for the last few hours I'd expect it's horrible by now.

I went up a few weeks back when it had been raining and in all honesty the main trails on the blue were ok, the worst bit was the first climb up which isn’t a man made trail and was just chalk clay, it was horrible. Other than that it was well drained.

I’ve been trail running it and most of the Red is slippy and puddles in the troughs, the blue is fine but not dry all over and a quite a few puddles in the berm troughs. The rest of the park is dry loam on the tops under the trees, the open sections on fire trails are slippy gloop on the southern sections, but I’d say overall it’s splatterfest at best.
But running it is different to riding it, just go and take sections easy if it looks slippy.

Thanks all. First time back on the bike after two months due to major surgery so will need to make sure I take it easy but desperate to get out on the bike for a couple of hours now the doc says it’s ok!
