I believe Frankers on here has one. I myself am into the third week of owning and riding and loving the OneTwenty 650B, having just put it all together 😀

So far, I would say that it climbs as well as the SC Superlight it has replaced; it feels light and nimble and it descends with that same agility and yet with the planted composure of another SC bike I used to have, the Bullit.

Whether the 650 and 29er bikes ride in a similar way, I couldn't say. I would be surprised if they were markedly different, especially as I watched a vid on bikeradar yesterday of their first ride impressions of the OneTen 29.

I'm planning to put a reasonably coherent review type of thing on here, in the meantime, if you'd like to see my initial impressions, I've posted on R53sport's Facebook page. Give R53 a buzz, Craig has been and is very helpful and knowledgable, I'm sure he'll do what he can to help you out.

Alternatively, I believe STW have the demo bike at the mo 🙂

Agree with what the chap on the video says, though I am also happy with it riding it on flat'ish XC routes too.

Corners exceptionally well and feels very solid on drop-offs and jumps, you do find yourself searching for things to pop off

Mines setup with complete XT drivechain and brakes, with Arch EX rims and wide Thomson flat bars, RS Revelations set at 130mm and a Reverb seatpost

Only main review on the web is a SA review that found that the SA made bike was best..

though it does look very good, if pricey in UK money

@650bri I'm afraid you just missed out on one of the best riding bikes on the market. 😉

@rootes1 There are plenty of reviews out there. It has been in Bikemagic, Bikeradar (video), Singletrack (Fresh Goods so far with a full review to follow soon) and in the 25th Anniversary MBUK (just out).

As for the heavier damping on flatter XC stuff, well that is all to do with set up. This bike likes around a 30% sag and a fairly open rebound setting.

@Slackalice Looking forward to your review.

Cheers Craig!

I'm planning to write it after the Passportes du Soleil trip at the end of the month! I figure that way I can include my usual UK riding and some Alps experience as well 😀

For the time being, the more I ride it, the better it gets 😀 More than likely as I'm becoming more and more accustomed to how well it responds, behaves and handles.

I am particularly impressed with it's climbing ability, it rides light and has little or no bob either showing or felt when in the 3x granny ring. That said, I'm also getting big grins from leaning it over in the fast corners.

I love my bike! 😀
